ALL THAT MIGHTY HEART

Following the end to supplying Brighton water by steam power the Goldstone Victorian pumping station stood still for more than 25 years, before it's 1976 reincarnation as The British Engineerium. At a standstill again since 2006 it wil be given a new life as an engineering museum in late 2010.

The work considers the transformation that steam power and the Industrial Revolution brought and the legacy it leaves on our working lives.

ALL THAT MIGHTY HEART consists of two bodies of work that will be exhibited on the opening of the museum.

Instruments of Power explores the physical actions of these vast and intricate machines and the relation to the new social machine

Instruments of Precision reflects on a new society driven by time and punctuality.
